Folk Art of Secret Caverns

The Folk Art tradition of Secret Caverns, has deep roots. For many years the hand painted waterfalls was a hallmark of the Secret Caverns billboard. Some signs were enormously detailed, fit for a gallery, some were more simple interpretations. Every few years new artists emerged bringing new ideas. The current artistic teams has been working together for over a decade.

It all started when a few youthful and creative tour guides decided to paint the front of the Lodge for the "Halloween Bizarre", a charity fund raiser. People were so enthusiastic about the giant bat, that it remained for the next several seasons, until the lodge burned to the ground.
